Some lanes were closed on Monday, Sept. 25 on I-495 in Virginia where a crash caused traffic to bottle up, with heavy delays for motorists navigating their way through the area during the Monday commute.

According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the vehicle crash was reported at around 10:35 a.m. on Monday near the 45.5 mile marker.

Motorists can expect delays, as traffic is backed up approximately two miles, officials said, leaving the left lane closed in the northbound side of the interstate.
